Jeff Foxworthy is an amazing comedian. He followed in his father's footsteps working for IBM in Georgia, but on a dare from friends did a few minutes of comedy at an Atlanta comedy club. A few months later, he quit his job and started on the standup comedy road. His comedy originally centered on family situations, which a lot of it still does today, he does things so many people can relate to, but he soon began the legendary "You might be a redneck if.." jokes, which is probably what he is most-well known for overall. He defines Redneck as: A glorious absence of sophistication. Following two successful albums, Foxworthy joined the growing trend of standup comics with their own TV sitcoms.

I have been a fan of his for a long time, it started by listening to his tapes as a kid, and eventually I saw him on Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again and also his hit television show, Blue Collar TV. I never get sick of watching his performances.

He’s a really funny guy and also has this presence about him and I get the feeling he’s just a good guy all around, very humble too. He doesn’t use vulgar in his comedy/performances which I respect. He’s been around such a long time and has stayed true to himself throughout. I have also seen him on other stand up shows when he was really young which is why I say he hasn‘t changed. He reminds me a lot of a man I know which kind of makes him even the more special, I can relate to him. I wanted to run a fanlisting for him because I truly love what he does. He is so deserving of it.

He has brought a new meaning to professional comedy. He makes people laugh and enjoys it, and doesn’t just do it because it is his job. When I watch I can tell he really enjoys what he is doing and is appreciative of all his fans which I adore. He always puts a smile on my face no matter what he says.

My dad also enjoys his comedy and having something in common with my dad means a lot to me too. It’s like a family bonding thing. He has had success with many other things as well and he deserves everything he has gotten. He has worked hard, is absolutely hilarious, and is just awesome at what he does. I love the guy - on the Roast of Jeff Foxworthy I cried. I know it was all in good fun but still.. :)
