Martin (Marty) Xavier Casey was from the show Rock Star:INXS. It was sort of like American Idol only the winner would become the lead singer of the band INXS. He made it to the final two but was beaten out by JD Fortune. I won’t get too into that. Marty would have gone far either way and honestly I think it's better off he didn't win. Marty draws me in each time, not only by his talent, but because of his attitude, and his persona. It is obvious he is in love with what he does. Marty puts so much into his music, he pours his soul into each performance and he never fails to amaze me. He was the reason I watched the show. The guy is so amazingly talented and great at what he does. His singing is absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful.
I supported him throughout the entire competition, and as the weeks went on I only saw him get better and better. He left me in awe so many times. I noticed he began progressively gaining more support and more fans as the time went on, especially towards the end.. He sure does deserve it. He brought me to tears when singing Pink Floyd's Wish you were here. It’s hard to put my feelings about this guy into words. His singing is so moving, he is unlike any I have ever heard or seen. He was by far the best in the competition in my opinion, but I know there will be so many more opportunities for him. He can do so much, he already has done so many things.
Being on this show has given him even more exposure, and has opened up many more opportunities for him. He works extremely hard at what he does, but it also comes naturally to him. His head doesn’t get big like some of the others, he is open to learning and becoming better. Marty also possesses the amazing ability to adapt. Whether that be his music or his surroundings. To put it simple, Marty rocks. I see only great things to come for him, there is no doubt in my mind.
